Hi Friends!!
So I realized the other day that it’s been about a year since my first post! I’m coming up again on the Trick-or-Trot 5k with the Orioles, which was my first fitness post!
I decided it would be a good time to check in with the rest of my goals that I had set at the beginning of the year, since I recently crossed the biggest one off my list! (Still celebrating!)
So my list:
- Double photography earnings
- Read 30 books
- Earn a steady income with essential oil business
- Finally get my tattoo
Figure out digestive issuesRun the Baltimore Running Festival half marathon
Looking at them now, I realized I set some pretty lofty goals for myself! Some of them I still have some time to finish (tattoo?) while others, I might have missed the mark a little. The photography earnings are at about the same as they were last year, which I’m still happy with. And I’m still working on the essential oil business, but consistency is key, which is what I’m focusing on now. As for 30 books? I think I’ve gotten through like, 12? Whoops. Totally missed the mark on that one. And you know what? It’s totally okay! Just means I need to work a little harder next year!
I am very happy to say that the digestive issues can be crossed off. I am pretty sure I have figured out what the issue is. However, the resolve the issue (that wasn’t the goal…haha) is still taking some work. But at least I have a pretty solid idea of what’s going on.
So looking at my post about the Trick-or-Trot last year, I have set a new goal – Beat my time from last year! 30:04 was my time, running 9:19 average mile pace. Boy, oh boy. Wish me luck with that one.
This blog has shown me a lot over the year – one of the best things I learned about myself is that if I set my mind to something, I’m going to get it down. Setbacks will happen, but I won’t let them hold me down.
I also learned that eating gluten free really isn’t all that hard after all. The hardest part about it is finding the foods it’s hidden in, and making sure you don’t eat those. The temptation for bread has mostly gone away, though some days, I could really still just go for a good bagel.
(Also this blog helped me realize I am way too busy for my own good and have no time to write. I know it’s not New Years, but I’m setting a goal now anyways: write more posts!)
So friends, look back on your year! Have any that you can cross off your list?! Do you have any resolutions/goals that you still want to achieve?? Still have plenty of time! Rededicate yourself to it and GET IT! As Autumn would say, Let’s GO!
