Happy New Year!!
First, apologies for the lack of updates recently. As I explained in my previous post about sleep, and what I’ll also detail below, I’ve had quite a bit going on. Here’s to a new year with more blog posts!
Like many, I am setting some New Year’s goals. We talked about this before, in October, for my blog-iversary, but I wanted to set some New Year’s goals. Seeing as I missed some of the goals, they are going to be on this year’s list too.

  • Resolve digestive issues
  • Run another half marathon in a different state
  • Run the Charm City Run 20-miler
  • Read 20 books
  • Establish regular yoga + meditation practice
  • Earn a steady income with my essential oil business
  • Get my tattoo!!

So last year, my goal was to figure out my digestive issues – and while I think I have figured it out, I haven’t fixed the issues yet. My acne has become really bad once again, and I am determined to figure out what is wrong. Today, I read an article about Whole30, and thought it would be a great way to for me to evaluate the digestive issues I’m having. There will of course be updates here! My plan is actually to prep tomorrow for a trial run for a week, since I’ll be visiting my grandma next weekend. It’s hard enough to ask my family to cook gluten free, I definitely don’t want to make it even harder. It’ll be a trial run for a week, and then I’ll start the 30 days once I get back.
I have signed up for another half marathon already in March in DC, but the goal race I think I’ll do is actually the Wine Glass half marathon in Corning, NY! And I’m very slowly working my way up to the 26.2 distance. Yeah, who is surprised that I’m thinking about running a full marathon eventually? Ha, no one, I’m sure.
Establishing a yoga and meditation practice has been a goal for a couple of years now. This one is probably the hardest one to establish, too. But as the saying goes, “if you feel like you don’t have 20 minutes to meditate, you should meditate for an hour.” Since I already have an established workout routine, adding this shouldn’t be as hard as it was last year. I also bought Namaslay, Candace Moore’s book, to help my yoga practice.

What are your New Year’s goals? Anything you didn’t accomplish last year that you want to do this year?
