Setbacks

Who is surprised – it’s getting warmer out, and yet again, I’m injured.  It’s the same area causing a problem, which to me says I have a chronic issue with tendonitis in my ankle.  The hardest part of this all – I knew something was wrong, but ignored it for almost two weeks before resting.  Long story short friends, if you notice swelling, get it looked at before it gets any worse. New Year’s Goals

Happy New Year friends!!

First, thank you all for coming along in this journey with me. So many of you have helped me as I travel down this path, and I appreciate it all so much!

Another year down which means a new set of goals! A couple of years ago, I realized that I prefer setting New Year’s goals instead of resolutions, as resolutions tend to be open-ended and usually end up failing within the first month. Continue reading “New Year’s Goals”

Essential Oils 101

I talk about them quite a bit here, but I realized I never took the time to actually talk about what essential oils are or how to use them. There’s a saying in the essential oil world, “I didn’t know how to use essential oils, but then I opened the bottle!” While it is that easy to get started, there’s a little more to than that. GI Update

A couple weeks ago now, I had my colonoscopy and upper endoscopy procedure, and I have received the results from the biopsies and all that was done that day. With mixed emotions, I report that everything has one back as normal from that procedure. Much like the last time I had tests done, I didn’t really want to have any of the illnesses I was being tested for. But I was really hoping for some sort of answers or diagnosis so I could have a starting point to start getting better. At the moment, I’m happy that I don’t have a chronic issue to treat, but I’m back at square one again, and I’m just tired. Continue reading “GI Update”

Traveling Europe!

For those who don’t follow me on Instagram (you totally should, btw @journeytoloving.me), last week, I got back from a 2 week adventure through Scotland! As a military brat, I lived there when I was really young (we left when I was 3 years old), and this year there was a reunion for people who were stationed there, so my mom said “let’s do it!”  We stayed in a cute little fishing town on the east coast of Scotland, not far from where we had lived before, and took day trips to see the sights we had done 20+ years ago.  And the best part?  We ate.  A LOT.   Continue reading “Traveling Europe!”
